Description

A medicated antiseptic shampoo containing Povidone-Iodine, available in 1% and 4% strengths. It is formulated for cleansing the scalp and body and helps manage seborrhoeic scalp conditions associated with oily dandruff, itching, and scaling. It also provides antiseptic cleansing of the skin and scalp, leaving them clean and refreshed.

Active Ingredient

Povidone-Iodine 1% or 4% w/v, according to the strength indicated on the package.

Ingredients

Povidone-Iodine 1% or 4%, Mild Surfactant, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Comperlan, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Monopropylene Glycol, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Tea Tree Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, EDTA, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride.

Directions for Use

For Hair and Scalp:

Wet the hair and scalp with lukewarm water. Apply an appropriate amount of shampoo and massage gently with the fingertips until lather forms. Leave on the scalp for 3–5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use once or twice weekly, or as directed by a physician or pharmacist.

For Body Use:

Apply to wet skin on the required areas, massage gently until lather forms, then rinse thoroughly with water. Use once daily for short-term use only, or as directed by a physician or pharmacist.

Warnings

For external use only. Check the product strength before use. Do not use if you are allergic to iodine, Povidone-Iodine, or any other ingredient. Do not use if you have a thyroid disorder unless directed by a physician. Consult a physician before use if you are taking lithium.

Avoid regular use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless directed by a physician. Do not use on infants or young children without medical advice.

Avoid contact with the eyes, ears, and mucous membranes. In case of contact, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water. Do not apply to large areas, deep wounds, severe burns, or extensively damaged skin without medical advice. Avoid prolonged or excessive use.

Discontinue use and consult a physician if irritation, swelling, unusual redness, severe itching, or excessive peeling occurs. Consult a physician if the condition worsens or does not improve. Povidone-Iodine may interfere with thyroid function tests. Do not swallow. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the container tightly closed.
